Atlanta Guardian ad Litem Attorney
Each of the founding partners, Amy Kaye, Alyson Lembeck, Elinor Hitt and Brooke French, trained to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem. A Guardian Ad Litem is a person appointed by the court or agreed to by the parties to represent the child or children in the case and make recommendations regarding the best interest of the child or children. If a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) is appointed to your case, the GAL is paramount to the outcome and it is critical to ensure the proper GAL is working on your case. Because, although the GAL is required to remain neutral, his or her recommendation has significant implications on the outcome of a case.
Based on both legal expertise and real-world experience as parents, our attorneys are well-qualified to serve as a GAL for your case. Our Atlanta Guardian ad Litem attorneys make children a priority in all of our cases – particularly those in which we are a GAL. As a GAL, our attorneys conduct a thorough investigation to determine what is in the best interest of the child or children involved. Determining the best interests of a child or children can be complex or time-consuming. It can involve interviewing educators, physicians, friends, neighbors or relatives. Our lawyers are well-versed in handling these investigations as we have been conducting them for decades.
